Great artwork but as other users have stated there really is far too much waffle/ chat. Navigation by map rather than through the streets seems less involved and not particularly smooth. I think the volume of dialogue would bore much of a younger audience and the solutions to the investigations are a little mind numbing. As a main character Katrielle is a little vacuous and perhaps stereotyped. The London theme was a little too contrived too :( Shame as I enjoyed the original Layton series.
A poor imitation of the earlier Layton games. Navigating is tedious, the storyline 'cases' mostly have stupid outcomes, but worst is the substandard puzzles. The proliferation of 'trick' puzzles where you're presented with a math-style problem but the answer is 0 almost becomes a cliché in this game. I actually have no problem with the port, but the game content here isn't worth anywhere close to the asking price on either mobile or 3DS. Port the old Layton instead!
Was really enjoying the game and was about half way through when the game crashed and deleted my saved game. Angry is not the word! When you pay this much for a tablet game that requires a serious investment in time, problems like this are just not good enough.
Puzzles are fun as always, haven't completed it yet but if you are looking for a Professor Layton game for mobile, this is it. Some of the puzzles may need a bit more explaining in my opinion but.. where would the challenge be am I right? ;)
Flipping amazing! This is EXACTLY what I'm looking for in an android game! Hopefully this will be a success so other developers can take note of the standard we android users are expecting of our games. I will definitely keep paying for this kind of quality gaming. Congrats!
It's just amazing. Bringing the old memories when I used to play professor laytons on the ds. Hope you guys make more of the series into mobile. Absolutely amazing!!
