Basically it starts with you leaving a vault & killing some slavers. then you basically get free reign to explore the map. It's a 2D sidescroller with various areas you can explore and go back to, think 'this war of mine'. There's base building (don't worry it's not one of the games that tells you the game will be one way then locks you in to base building. It just helps you fight and explore). Balance is good, I lvl'd my dude to max out my followers. weak AF on my own, but ape together strong!

This game is exceptionally cool. I just love it. The action is fun, ads are limited (most only appear if you choose to get something extra), and the plot seems compelling so far. I have only just begun, but I fully anticipate sticking with it for the long haul. It is a little convoluted, but that might just be its appeal for you, and though the leveling is complex, gameplay is still simple, smooth, and intuitive. Totally worth checking out!

I was actually really surprised by this game. The story was in depth and the gameplay was easy and fun, and it still had its challenges. I'd give it six stars if I could. *Update* I have come back to this game five years later, and it's everything I missed and more. I look forward to the season 2 update and all further content.
