About this app
Use the App to track your day counts in various locations so you can self-assess your statutory residency and domicile status and tax filing obligations, as well as use for homestead, exemption and other compliance purposes. Track tax and residency day counts by Country, State, City and Possession.
* Free 60 day trial period provided. To login and create free account, enter email address and a password (via create account link on App start page). Your email and password will serve as your login credentials.
Set an unlimited number of day count alerts by Country, State, City or Possession. Use alerts to monitor jurisdictional limits (with 183 day count annual limits popular with many jurisdictions). Receive day count alerts by email and local notification on your phone as your reach various day thresholds. Check your alerts at any time.
Track days for employer-employee income tax withholding and non-resident income tax purposes. States impose non-resident income tax and employer income tax withholding based on days worked in-state (ranging from "first day" in state to 30-60 days in a calendar year) notwithstanding that you are not a resident or domiciliary.
Location generally recorded throughout the day using the highest level of accuracy supported by your phone. Please note that the continuous tracking may have a minor impact on battery life and data usage since location is recorded in the cloud. Location permission for the App to always run in the background must be granted in order for the App to function correctly. You will be prompted for approval after your first install the App.
Search by dates. Email detailed logs containing all recorded locations showing your location throughout each day in the selected range or all days. Use for audit and other purposes.
Manually enter missing dates for time periods before you activated the app for more complete analysis.
Jurisdictions have become increasingly aggressive in asserting residency status. The burden of proof is generally on you to establish how many days you spent inside and outside the jurisdiction. Use this app to help carry your burden of proof and evidence what your day count is in various jurisdictions. To many bugs and very poorly kept up to date. Main screen with day count does not even update when you are forced to login each time. Way way over priced. Should be FREE the shape it is in now. Not sure this app is ever updated as the
