Walk with Mogau in his Kingdom, meet cool characters and help them along your way.
This free, fun, engaging edutainment game gets young children excited about reading. It brings to life exciting, colourful characters from Book Dash’s free online library of African storybooks by creatively adapting their characters from their open access books. The characters and environments are from Bookdash, an online platform that aims to provide free access to Children's books.
The game encourages reading in younger children and has links to the Bookdash website, where they can find hundreds of free-to-read children's books.

Mogau’s Kingdom, a Kobold Kove production, is made possible by funding from the Goethe-Institut and SADiLaR, in partnership with Book Dash and the Credipple Team. This game is the outcome of Hack Ur Culture 2020.
Children can create themselves, or a fictional friend, with a simple character customisation system and then follow their guide, Mogau, around to meet other Bookdash characters!
Each friend they meet will be accompanied by a simple mini-game that is inspired by their own Bookdash book!
At the end of the game, the player is given a scrapbook where they can read back on their own adventure.
Language change supporting African languages will be implemented in a future update.
Ensuring the safety of children is a priority and as such, no personal data is saved or collected by Kobold Studios.
