Marubiru opened in 1976 and has been loved by many people. Marubiru, which has been a symbol of Osaka for nearly half a century, will be demolished in 2024.

The site will be used as a bus terminal for shuttle buses to the venue during the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. A new Marubiru will be built at the same location in 2030 (planned).
