About this game

Wanderer of Lifetimes is a role playing game set in an Eastern-inspired land where the rules of life and death are governed by the cycle of karma. The player will set out to achieve a mission over many lifetimes that will ultimately determine the fate of the world.

The game incorporate text-adventure style narrative with 2D exploration and stamina based combat. The game mainly takes place in the living world but will also offer unique mechanics in the afterlife. Only in the afterlife can the player can spend karma accrued in life for various adjustment to their avatar such as acquiring permanent power ups/abilities and applying temporary boons to help improve the chance of success in the next life. It is through the karma system that game attempts to encourage players to find new ways of approaching challenges after experiencing failure.

The game has a tendency to crash when your device goes above 60 FPS, so you need to limit it. Also, it's very much not optimized for newer devices (last updated 2 years ago), which causes a graphic loss after a while where everything loses their black lines. A certain quest done in a very specific way might cause the quest to get stuck in such a way that results in a single city being inaccessible forever. And yet, this game is definitely one of the best mobile game that you can find.

Hi, The game gives really nice atmosphere of ancient time when swordmen were the heroes. However, the gameplay is challenging to the point you have to start all over again after death penalties. Maybe the developers can add level of difficulty for players to choose, or somehow lower the chance of beginners encountering skilled rivals. P/s: I finished the storyline, and I am the dumbest player, so you probably can too. Just invest like 10hrs into the game :P Worth it though.

I was sceptical at first, but this is much better than I thought. The combat is fluid, and how you wear your weapon affects your actions in battle. Exploration is great, with enough random events to make it interesting. I'm not a fan of black and white game and the world map should show each city's name, but being a completely free game (no ads, no iap either!) you really can't ask for more. Can't wait for more from this developer.
