Galaxy S5 issue Since samsung took away the physical settings button, which allowed you to access settings. On the S5, it's gone. You can always tap the three dots at the upper-right of the screen in most apps, but not this one. If you want to access the settings here, hold down the multitasking button at the bottom left of the screen. That brings up settings menu.
A must-have tool for outdoor sports Solved all my problems with local volatile morning weather for my cycling and running training, in a moment. Maybe it is not typical use of this software, but it works way better then traditional weather sites. Of course, some airport should be present in a neighborhood. Additional thumbs up for excellent measurement units conversion and great email support (received an answer in 3 minutes). Pro version worth every penny, just go and buy it.
Good app Missing an airport close to me. Emailed the dev and got an auto reply that was not related. The missing airport is on NOAA's site, but missing here. UPDATE: The Dev finally replied to my review. Don't know why the email wasn't answered, since I waited for that prior to reviewing. However, the app finally caught up with the NOAA site and now has the airport I need.
absolutely MUST-HAVE for Flight Sim Pilots! Get the correct METAR for your airports - and you have wonderful flexibility to add airports in any order, and segregate them on separate pages by state, most-frequently flown, or any other way you wish. I have only a couple "ideas" that I'd LOVE to see added: AUTO-SORT airports by user-choice of ICAO code or Airport/City Name. Presently the USER must sort by dragging airports around one-at-a-time, which is not intuitive or fast! Auto-Sort would speed things up, and make airports simple to locate by alphabetical sorting!! This seems like a no-brainer, but is missing at present. Developers? Can you please ADD this for us? If possible, include the METAR designators (Information Alpha... etc) when you call in or listen to Real World ATIS recordings, you hear the Alphabetical descriptor for the current METAR. Information November, Oscar, etc, etc). This would go a long way to increased realism. Presently a sim pilot must actually phone in to the airport for the ATIS data, and at the beginning and end of the recordings, the alphabetical ATIS enumerator is stated. Be GREAT if this could somehow be part of this wonderful application! GREAT APP
Light-weight and powerful I use AirReport Pro mostly as a widget on my homescrene so that I always know the weather at my local airport. I particularly like that you can customize the threshold the app uses to define the conditions - VFR, marginal VFR, IFR, etc. If you are a careful pilot with fairly high personal minima, you can adjust the minima accordingly and only get the green "VFR" symbol when *you* think it is VFR. Of course, the app doesn't replace flight planning in any way but even when not flying, it is nice to have the latest METAR on the home screen. For pilots, it is probably easier to read than a "normal" weather update anyway :-) Also, it works fine on my aging HTC Desire HD (JellyBean).
NO support - anywhere Downloaded this app on the strength of its good reviews. The download went smoothly - all updates seen to be applied, however, when opening the app, I was presented with a quest for a search which I was unable to carry out - no on screen option to do same. I emailed SamCat but the Email was undeliverable (tried from several links - no joy). Surfed the net for answers - no joy. Also, check out the permissions this has app has - likely you will be as shocked as I was.
* Further fix for TAFs
