In the latest version, the app closes on startup. Also there are some weird issues with incorrect markers for unread messages. Cant use the app right now, but I would really like to!
It took me a long time to figure out how to switch communities. I thought you couldn't. But then I clicked the icon that looks like a QR code reader and it let me switch communities there. I think you need a better icon for switching communities because those boxes are confusing.
It would be great if the "reply in push notification" feature actually worked. Never worked consistently on my previous phone (Samsung Galaxy S7) and it doesn't work on my current phone (Samsung Galaxy S8). But perhaps slack chose not to fully support these flagship phones...
I've been through my fair share of crappy website builders and I finally found this that has saved me from desperate times
I've used this app for almost 2 years. It works well, doesn't have any bugs that I could find and has feature parity with desktop it seems. But, it is not determined enough to send messages. If it times out due to network condition changes such as tunnels, or connecting to WiFi, it often gives up and tells me to confirm sending the message. I am used to other apps such as telegram or native SMS apps sending messages relentlessly when you hit send, even if it takes minutes or hours to get back to good network conditions. I understand that slack does this to prevent you speaking before you know if the person/s you are communicating with haven't sent anything which invalidates your message or makes it look dumb, but almost immediately giving up is not very cool. People will understand because they know what happened when you said "it's in the thingamajig" 4 seconds after others had said the same. Not snappy enough on my old nexus 5x, took too much time to launch and switch to and freezed for small amounts of time sometimes. Let's see how it does on my new cheaper phone. Love, bye!
I use two factor authentication for log in into my account but the code never been sent to my phone number. I can't login into slack mobile app until now because there is no code sent to my phone. I've tried so many times, I also tried to install it and uninstall it again and again but it still doesn't work properly like the older version
Slack 2.39.0 Release Notes:
• Fixed: We were not respecting the 'plain text only' emoji style. Henceforth, we promise to always respect your right to an emoji-free experience. :pinky_swear:
• Fixed: The ginormous emoji displayed on some devices when setting status was, remarkably, unintentional, and has been rectified.
