Road Lights is a short narrative driven game which explores a boy's fears and anxieties, seen through family road trips as he battles his own dark imagination. The boy’s name is Matt, who is the narrator of his own story. The game revolves around the unique gameplay mechanic of attacking enemies by throwing different kinds of lights from the passing landscape to defeat them.
The game is intended to be played in one sitting.
The game was developed as an artistic project, with funding by the Competitive Funds for Culture (FCC) in the Videogames Category (2016), granted by the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC) of Uruguay. It tells part of a grander story, which for now is limited to this 20 minute experience. Hopefully one day we can finish it and reveal how Matt’s story ends.
Thanks for playing!
