This application uses the accelerometer data in your smartphone to calculate the time of flight of a jump.

The user starts the data collection by pressing "Start", makes a jump, and stops data collection by pressing "Stop". The application follows the work published by Sauvik Das, LaToya Green, Beatrice Perez, and Michael Murphy, "Detecting User Activities using the Accelerometer on Android Smartphones," July 2010, to calculate the time the user was really in the air ("flying").

You can use this app in your own sports activitites, while teaching a class or doing research. Or you can use it just for fun. If you use this in a scientific work, you can look up citation info on http://allab.it.ubi.pt. You can also use the feedback page in ALLab website to give us feedback on the application.

PLEASE DON'T USE THIS if jumping is harmful or hazardous for the heatlh or the person jumping, or in hazardous conditions. You are the sole responsible for the use of this application.
