I had no idea what this game was. I got it based on reviews, and oh boy, it was worth it. I played straight through, minus a couple of breaks to let my phone cool down. Super fun, totally trippy, intuitive controls (after initial tutorial), mysterious storyline set in a sci-fi future. Can't wait to see what these folks do next. Seriously. What is their next thing?
Would be 5 stars but it doesn't support audio casting like many other VR apps, meaning you can't Chromecast the game to a TV properly. Also it heats up a Pixel XL like crazy and you can only get about 20 minutes in before performance goes to hell. Ultimately a super fun game limited by hardware.
This game was by far the coolest that I have come across yet for VR. It has a perfect combination of humor, and rebellion. It is obvious that the creators of this game really took their time. I'm looking forward to more games like this!
Both eyes work now, but you can only play for a few minutes before the phone overheats and the game falls apart. Not sure what about this game uses so much horsepower. Not worth a frustrating try on the Pixel XL.
This made buying the daydream worth it. Only complaint is I wish it was a bit longer but it's such a fantastic game that I have no others. Reminds me of something from the Portal universe. A+
Phenomenal. This game has a similar vibe and sense of humour to Portal, but set in a world reminiscent of Black Mirror, with the satirical outlook of Silicon Valley, a gameplay concept straight out of Inception, and the trippy visuals of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I got stuck a couple times and unable to figure out how to progress to the next stage, which was frustrating, but overall it was so well executed that I was very willing to forgive the occasionally flawed level design.
