About this game
Have you played 42 billion different tower defense games? Do you feel sick and tired of playing the same type of tower defense? You don't just want a revised version of the base game? Do you feel like you need a change in this genre to enjoy it more?
Then we have a good opportunity for you! Poker tower defense is a fusion of poker and tower defense. You're not spending your gold to buy a tower. The only purpose of gold is to upgrade the towers. You have to play a round of poker and the outcome of that round will determine what type of tower you get.
"But I can't play poker, it's too complicated for me!"
Don't worry, we've got you covered! The system is very easy to use. You can play it without ever having played a round of poker in your life. There is an explanation of the different poker hands if you are interested in tweaking your game. You can also cheat to get a better hand. So there is nothing to worry about. Even if you don't want to spend your time learning poker, you can still play the game. If you've played it long enough, you would learn poker as a side benefit.
"What is poker tower defense?"
It is a free offline strategy game where you play poker to get new towers. At the beginning of a round you are given five cards. You can choose up to five cards from your hand to draw new ones. Cards that once made it into your hand will no longer get into your hand. So if you want to cheat the cards in your hand, keep that in mind. Depending on the cards in your hand, you will be awarded a tower. You have to kill enemies with your towers to get gold. You can use this gold to upgrade your towers. There are currently 3 different types of upgrades:
- Damage: Deal more damage to opponents
- Range: Increase the firing range of your turret so that it has more time to shoot down enemies
- Speed: Increase the speed of your tower so it can fire more often
You also get skill points to improve the skills of each tower. You can use these skills to upgrade a tower more often. You will need some time to unlock each skill on each tower. This will affect your strategy as you need to focus on different towers.
There are also different types of game modes. You can play a fixed number of rounds or challenge your skills in an infinity mode. In infinity mode, the enemies appear randomly.
"Do I need an internet connection to play the game?"
You don't need an internet connection to play this game. You play it completely locally. So everything is playable offline.

It's a good starting point! I'm familiar with the WC3/SC2 Maps the game is based on, and it's a solid premise for an app. The UI and graphics could use a little polish (different tower visuals for different poker combinations for instance.) But overall it's a neat game with some potential. Hope you keep developing it!

I have high expectation because I played poker TD in warcraft, but this game really lacks appeal. Interface too lackluster so it is very easy to forgot that the tower is clickable to see the exact stats of a tower, especially when the screen will be packed with cards when picking. lacking multiplayer/competitive mode, powerups should be focused on more RNG effect to add excitement. Different tower should also have attack effect like Splashing, Slow, or etc like many other TD games

Thank you for your feedback! You can see damage, range and speed of the tower by clicking on them. You can use the gold to upgrade the tower (also by clicking on the tower). Multiplayer/Competitive Mode is for me, as a single developer, at the moment not possible. I will probably develop a more advanced version in the future.

Would like to see a more fleshed out upgrade system. Maybe even an upgrade to improve your luck. Doing hard mode comes down to how lucky you were on your first few hands. If you just get high cards, that won't cut it. Nothing you can do with skill to help you out there. Otherwise the game is exactly what it is.
What's new
- When a mob reaches the end, the tree shakes
- The reward for watching an advertisement is no longer random
- You will get one of each cheaty item every 11 hours! (+1 Skillpoint every second time)
- Removed a bug, where sometimes the game stops, when you kill the mobs to fast at the span
- Removed some more smaller bugs
- Reduced the maximum armor
- Reduced the health of the boss mobs
- Added a new skill: You can get some extra gold at the end of each round
- Some minor visual adjustments
