Works well... but not much to it A liked this game, it has a lot of potential, the pixel art being it's main strength. But I could replace the word 'main' with 'only'. The levels don't get harder as you progress making the whole game as repetitive as it's boss levels which have you repeat the same action upto 20 times. It was worth its asking price of FREE but feel it's a wasted opportunity ... on a separate note... did you guys 'pear friction' also at one time go under the name mudloop?
Enjoyable and great graphics. Jumping can be buggy. Too close to a ledge and sometimes you can't jump up on to it, you have to scoot away and try again. The jumping sound plays too many times if you hold it in, even if you only jumped once. The camera didn't completely follow you if you went to a lower platform in some levels. The lack of music isn't bad but would be very awesome with it. Also there is no clear way to tell if you're upgrading your attack/weapon or just repurchasing it even though you already have it. A very basic screen just for leveling up would be nice. Just to show how powerful you attack and everything is. And last but not least, you hitbox is a lot bigger than you are and you die when you can easily tell you did not touch an enemy. But those are just things that would polish the game up. I find it very enjoyable with nice graphics and cool enemies and bosses.
Really nice game It's a really good game, but still buggy. When I was on my first boss fight, I would jump over him and then be killed directly on top of him. It happened more than once when he was on 1 health.
Bugs There are a few bugs I've found playing the game. Sometimes when I jump I'm shot into the air off screen and I don't know where I'm going to land, at least one level had platforms that didn't render for a few seconds when I jumped on them (lucky for me the platforms were there because at first I just took a leap of faith not seeing them) and there seems to be a slight problem with hitboxes. I'm not entirely sure about the hitboxes but I've experienced deaths from enemies I wasn't in contact with.
Too many bugs It's really a fun game and creative idea, but either there are way too many bugs, or the game play is unfair. I find myself dying while jumping over the enemies all that time, for example.
This could have been a great game, but they ruined it. Instead of playing the game, you will be memorizing where enemies spawn so that you won't be killed instantly without warning. You can't tell if a wall can be jumped through or not; it's a real shame because it is really fun otherwise.
