Eclipse moves the bar up for everyone else on Daydream. It feels great exploring this world. The only criticism I have is that it drags a bit in the middle. There's a stage or two where no new mechanics, narrative elements, or environments are introduced and it starts to feel a bit monotonous. However, it redeems itself in the next stage with a good reveal, more challenging puzzles, and beautiful scenery.
I've been looking for something to make me use my Daydream headset more, and this game was it! It's incredible, really immersive and the controls, with the usage of the controller, is implemented really nice. Not even sure how many hours I buried in this but it was a few! Great game.
Honestly I got this for free as a bundle buying my Google daydream. I tried some game called wands. But it wasnt very good. This game however was fantastic. Took a while to get my footing gameplay wise and daydream wise. But it's fantastic. Like literally everything about this game is awesome. It's only on daydream but it's awesome. Huge world easy to learn gameplay but hard to master. Overall fantastic
This game is one of the best if not the best of daydream VR. Like any other games I suggest you to put a 20-30minutes timer because your cellphone will overheat. And in this game you forget about time. It's so immersive. The game is about discovering what happened to a disappeared civilisation (I think they disappeared... Not reached the end yet). There are a lot of puzzle but they are easy to complete. You won't lose more than 2minutes to figure them out. The world is beautiful and immersive. Graphics are not meant to try being realistic. Which is what daydream games should be going for. The graphic style fits perfectly and makes it even more immersive since it's not trying to replicate the real world with horrible textures. Can't wait to see what they will come up with next.
Can't imagine how did this game running on a mobile VR platform. The game world is so BIG, graphics is decent and the phone can handle all this without problems. Game control sometimes did give me little problems since some mechanism will automatically triggered by the position you stand on or where you looking at while you want to perform another action. Not a big deal but did affects my game play a little in my experience. For other parts like immersion and content this game did great jobs on those things. For an adventure game lover I really thinkit is the must have app for the VR platform.
Best daydream game I've played so far. First person view, you walk around and figure out how to advance and figure out what happened to an alien race. I haven't beat it yet but I'm pretty close.
