Will not update boarding pass!!! If you're flights change at all (cancellations, gate changes, maintenance delays, etc.), it takes a good 4 to 8 hours for the app to update and show the new boarding pass. What's the point of having the app?
Very misleading. I used the app to change my seat to a window from in business class on a long international flight on a paid business class ticket. I 'saved' the seat and the app showed that I had the correct seat. Several hours later when I went to check in, my seat was back to the original one. I called AA and the phone agent told me that the seat change transaction never went through. Now the plane is full and I cannot do the change anymore. Looks like the app does not connect properly to AA system. Terrible experience.
Dissapointed Used the app to book a RT day trip to SJC. The email confirmation showed the return a week later, and immediately called customer service. After an hour and 45 minutes and three agents, the supervisor cancelled my entire itinerary, when all I wanted was a return flight the same day (seats were available). Rebooked on SWA.
Lots of bugs have been fixed... ... but there is still a big one. I am currently AAdvantage Platinum, but my boarding passes are still showing up as Gold.
Server down Getting error message about server being down while logging in but logging into the web their is no problem.
Very Unreliable This app does not integrate well with partner code shared flights airlines e.g. Alaska. Not seemless experience for traveler. I am always on guard because the app does not behave intuitively. In Dallas right now and cannot look up a flight status when I enter the flight number. Could not access my reservation this entire trip. I would rather print passes and read airport monitors than trust this poorly designed app. Update: I took the time to respond to AA with details of the issues. No response.
