No Hebrew One of the most used languages in the middle east and it's not supported. Am I missing something?
Much better recognition accuracy (really!) than the vast majority of other apps in Play store (95% of which rely on the Tesseract engine giving more or less the same -- fairly poor -- results; Abbyy has been developing its own recognition engine over years which is significantly better; some apps that rely on online services like the ones from Google, MS, Evernote are different but you have to be always online, which isn't great if you travel, and you may be concerned about snooping on everything you OCR). Still, a few things to improve: (1) It's great it offers raw text as output but how about including a searchable PDF, as my desktop ABBYY products do? That would really be a killer! (2) Why is English always selected in the list of languages? Sometimes I really don't want it. (3) The idea of list of languages (of which you can select up to 2 plus English, if you try to select more you are told you can't) and a separate target language(s) is confusing, (4) When trying to OCR from camera it tries to use a certain (semi-standard) gallery app after taking the photo -- it should let you choose the gallery app, as it does when selecting an existing photo, (5) What do the icons mean?
Crashing every time I'm clicking for scanning a image already taken Android 6 Nexus 5 Android six keep crashing as soon I press image button
Great app! Please add Vietnamese OCR. I need it And many Vietnamese will be content with a version with Vietnamese.
Good job guys! Best OCR detection found to date, but I would like to see formatting of the page to stay the same instead of one long paragraph. Also changes some characters to red text which was accurate text, but had to change back to black text. This app is more tailored to reading a paper in a foreign country than creating a text scan of one's résumé.
Does not work on Samsung Galaxy S4. When photo is taken only a grey screen is visible. No options available.
+ Translated app UI into Chinese Traditional, Chinese Simplified, Japanese languages.
We would very much appreciate your fresh messages on the TextGrabber page.
