About this app

View your bank account transactions, identify yourself to customer services or pay an invoice: you can do all these things using the ABN AMRO app.

Advantages of the app:
• log into Internet Banking (without e.dentifier)
• update your address, information and preferences
• identify yourself to customer services

With the app, you can also:
• view your transactions, balance and bank accounts
• block, unblock or replace your debit card
• transfer money and schedule payment orders
• receive an alert when a transaction or direct debit payment is made
• keep your accounts with other banks in the same app

It's the all-in-one app for monitoring your payments, savings, investments, loans, credit card and mortgage.

New client? Open a bank account using the app
Open your first ABN AMRO current account with the app in a few simple steps. You don't need to visit an office. Even with an international passport, you can usually open an account using the app. In exceptional situations, you may be required to visit an office.

Banking with the ABN AMRO app for the first time
If you already have an ABN AMRO current account, you can use the ABN AMRO app straight away. Make sure you have your debit card and e.dentifier to hand. You will need these to set up the app. After that, you will only need your card and e.dentifier to confirm some payments.

Secure banking with the app
In the app, you can log in and confirm many orders with your chosen 5-digit identification code, fingerprint or Face ID. It's important that you handle your device with care. Keep your identification code and PIN number secret. Make sure you only register your own fingerprint or face on your device. More information about using the ABN AMRO app securely is available at abnamro.nl/veiligmb.

In general the app is fine. My biggest issue there use to be a sister app grip for budgeting which I found super useful. And on december 16 2022 they retired that app saying that it's features will be on this app. However they retired that app before putting anyone of grip's features into this app, and have yet to add any features of grip since then outside of the "future payments". Which means I've had to do a lot more work doing my monthly budget. What features are on the immediate road map?

Hi, Thanks for your review and feedback. Our developers will work so hard as they can to fix the implantation so soon as possible in our app. For instance - an overview of all subscriptions and recurring expenses and the possibility to easily cancel subscription(s). Or the possibility to look ahead to future expenses in the coming month(s). Bas

I've been trying to open a bank account today, the whole day. Each time after I took an image of myself, present id card and everything, at the end, when I submitted my application I got an error saying that there is a technical problem on ABN AMRO side. I did it about 10 times and each time I got this error , and had to do the whole process all over. So annoying :(

I want to suggest adding a new feature to the app to notify the user, when a new income arrives at the bank account. The Grip app had this feature and it was so useful, but you stopped it unfortunately. Edit: apparently there is a way (though the settings are a bit confusing)

Good afternoon Saeed. Thank you for your review. You can set Payment Alerts on the app to let you know when a credit or debit takes place on the account. Information can be found here: https://www.abnamro.nl/en/personal/payments/payment-alerts/index.html ^Floris
