ACCOMPLISH READING® is a short-term reading intervention program. It helps 3rd -8th grade students develop comprehension monitoring skills which, in turn, enhances reading comprehension, especially when reading science and social studies information.

When readers are aware that information is getting stored in memory, they are monitoring their comprehension.
Comprehension monitoring is an important metacognitive reading skill.
ACCOMPLISH READING® is research based: “Activating Children’s Metacognitive Reading Processes.
In this double-blind study, ACCOMPLISH READING’S innovative methods were compared to traditional reading training methods. The results showed that the ACCOMPLISH READING experimental group did significantly better on measures of comprehension monitoring and on a a standardized test of reading comprehension compared to the control group.
