Review from Kevin Parsons
I really enjoy this weather app. I tell people they need to use AccuWeather instead of those other boring weather apps. I trust it more than the local weather on TV. I tried other apps and some didn't recognize the city I was in!!! #FourAndAHalfStars
This is a nice app and it appears to be fairly accurate. Would like to see the UI get prettier, like 1Weather. The app is informative though, I highly recommend. The widgets you get from this don't look like trash like so many others do too so, that is a plus. UPDATE: I can't seem to find a way to turn off certain notifications like, it alerted me to mild rain today. I don't care, I only want alerts if there is a storm coming in or something serious. IDGAF about mild rain lol.
I have found this app to be far more consistently accurate in terms of weather forecasting, including long range forecasting, than any of the other leading weather apps. I had completely given up on weather forecasting, until I discovered AccuWeather. It's refreshing to know that weather forecasting can actually be done with greater precision than the consistently wrong, forecasting that I was accustomed to, via the Weather Network. I'd like to know how to make AccuWeather my phone's default background weather app. It was the default app on my previous Samsung phone, but my current and Samsung phone has the Weather Network set as the default weather app. I have so far, not been successful in trying to remedy this issue. For the moment, I manually access the AccuWeather information when I want reliable information. It would be more convenient if it was the app that showed on my phone's display.
In my exploration of the wonderful features and capabilities offered by AccuWeather, I accidentally reported that, in my area, there were slippery roads, snow/flurries present, etc, which are forecasted b/w tonight and tomorrow a.m., but NOT CURRENTLY OCCURRING. My sincerest apology. Otherwise, the app looks great, very user-friendly and UP-2-DATE! Prayers for safe keeping for all.
The layout is a little busy but not terrible. I'm sure I will get used to it. I haven't used it long enough to know if it is accurate 2, 3, 4 days out. Accurate predictions of temp and precipitation 2 - 4 days away is very important to me. But it has more details than the Weather Channel app I have been using for many years. So I'll stick with this for 2018 and reassess my choice at the end of the year.
The app works well, does not seem to take much battery power. The controls are easy to use switching between radar and forecast etc. I like it better than our local TV station app because it's not full of ads and does not have videos playing all over the page. I recommend this one. And they do seem to be accurate.
I love this app! The minutecast is on point! I also love the Accucast. The forecast for hourly, daily and current conditions are very accurate. The RADAR is also accurate and I especially like the future RADAR. GREAT APP!!! I would like to see a 'lighting strike' feature. Edit: After latest update I can't touch the screen on the watches and warning to bring up what the watch or warning is. Very sad with this.
