I love the concept. It's great, even customer service is great... But I wish there was a few more options to invest in. The ETFs involved are fine, but it would be nice to adjust the percentages myself or give a few more options.... Still love it though, simple easy investing.
Doesn't have my credit union
I have trust issues with anyone and everything cyber when it comes to my personal information. I get why the app demands my social, and bank account. And it's cool I can opt to enter my bank info at a later time. But what really drove me away from using the app was that I HAVE to enter my social. I like to explore things before I make a decision sometimes. Entering that in for me is like singing my life away. For all I know it is. This app is simply not for me, or those who are like me. It gets 3 stars from me because I simply didn't get to see and properly rate anything.
New review. All set up and running now for a little over a month. Going decent. Had some up and down days but thats to be expected. There are some minor software issues that need to be addressed, but after set up it's smooth & easy to deposit, withdraw, and check on your account. Not sure if I'd throw my entire life savings into it just yet, but the idea has crossed my mind. Keep at it acorns. 😎👍
I really wanted to give this a 4 or 5 star but the unlinking of my bank is forcing my hand. It's a fun app to save money. . . When it's working. After I linked my bank account & credit cards, acorn has connected and then disconnected my accounts. Which would be fine except I did 20 transactions thinking I would get reimbursed something for them. If I wasn't, why would I have gotten this app? Author's note: When I wrote reimbursement, what I meant is that there's a reason for me to use the app as money is taken out by the automatic round ups I had. Since that isn't working, I will get with the company.
I have not been able to use this app for at three months now because of some server error message I keep getting. I got in touch with the customer service and they told me to log onto my account through their website... "very insightful "... reasons for Apps is the convenience and get and have the information right at your fingertips. Can someone with the knowledge reach out and help fox this issue. Other than this issue, the concept of saving and investing money with them works.
