It's a scam. Really. Try to pull money out.... 6 days later they have to sell shares. What shares who knows.... they take your money the use it for their gain. What happens when all your money is in account and they make a bad investment?? Say goodbye to your mooney that's fdic insured. Ally invest or anything that u control your money and has credibility as a bank is safer. Jump ship before u are out!!
App needs to be more stable. This is something people have significant amounts of money in, and the app needs to be more stable. Several times a week they have "network issues" (they say "don't worry, you're account is fine") and I am unable to access the account. This does nothing to inspire confidence. If this does not clear up, I will be withdrawing my balance and switching to an app or firm I feel like I can trust. Trust in Acorns was sky high upon beginning, but is waining by the day.
Scam. Complete scam. They take YOUR money, take a percentage of it and tell you how well you're doing as an investor. For example... I have been "investing" about $130 of loose change into the account for a couple months and it's worth about $68! Wow, incredible... I've been able to lose about 50% of my investment. Haha geniuses. I fell for it and you shouldn't. Also customer service is almost non existent. BTW, I've been trying to get that $68 from them for over a month now and still haven't talked to a real person. Still no money... don't be like me. Don't get scammed.
Easy to use and understand. Great for anyone new to the complicated world of investing. Not going to be a huge return from it but it's an ingenious way to save extra cash that you wouldn't even think about.
Set mine to $5 a day plus round ups. Went on with my life and before I knew it I had $600 then $800 and today over $1200 in my account. There's numerous options to choose from and you can change any time. I gave it a shot and so far am pleased.
First week in. Love the app. Beginner friendly. One problem though. Transactions take a few days to process from Bank to Acorn. Its all good though. I know better next time.
