I never thought I would enjoy running for fitness. This app has allowed me get a slow start while staying challenging. I now look forward to my run days. Tracking my package and distance makes me want to try to beat myself.
It works for me, that's my bottom line.
Great app. Im awful at self motivation and have never been able to exercise for long periods without giving up unless in an exercise class/with a trainer. Couch to 5k has given me the motivation to keep going and having all my stats loged gives me something to work towards. Its like having a trainer in your pocket!
I'm really liking this so far. I've signed up to do a 5k fun run in a few weeks' time. Never done one before and my fitness level isn't exactly amazing so I thought I'd try this to at least get it up somewhat. Just finished week 1 and so far, so very good. I like that I'm not constantly talked to, that the voice only pipes up when necessary to tell me to walk or jog (I'm using the Runicorn, I like his upbeat voice), the rest of the time it's just me and my music. I feel like the pacing was good for week 1, I'm feeling it (I did especially after day 1!) but I don't feel like I'm about to die. The GPS is great so I know how far I've gone. I haven't encountered any issues yet and this has got me up and active and, dare I say it, actually enjoying exercise. Definitely recommended for a beginner, has worked really well for this one so far.
I've tried a few of the couch to 5k apps but have finally found one to stick with. Love this one - simple to use, clear and I like switching to a new voice on sluggish days for a change! Oh and set up with my play list so easily. Finally I've made it past week 2 and am mostly enjoying my run/walks now :-)
Clear and Simple There's not much to say other than the app works exactly the way it's supposed to. The interface is clear and easy to use and the voice prompts are ok. The only problem I have is, on my S5, Google play music doesn't work seamlessly with C25K; the two apps work side by side though, so no big deal.
