The app has been improving, but it's very inconsistent in the functions available per screen. For example, sometimes you can edit your loyalty number and/or seat and sometimes not.

I installed the app for a trip to Amsterdam. I was able to check in via the app the day before my flight but when I arrived at the airport it would not show my boarding card so I had to wait for the check-in desk to open and queue to check in again. I tried to cancel the Flying Blue membership that I was signed up to when installing the app, but they require that you get in touch and provide a scan of a passport or ID before they will cancel it. Enough to put me off using KLM again.

KLM is awful. Operated by Delta, so the flight itself is nice, but everything else is a hassle. Both of my flights showed that the departure time had changed on the app, when it really hadn't. And I'd think my app had all the correct info for check in, only for the app to then need a whole bunch of new information for what should have been a simple check in. And calling customer service they cannot help you. They will take your request and email you their answer within 72 hours.
