The African Union (AU is a steward of public funds and therefore both AU and its suppliers must adhere to the highest ethical standards, both during the bidding process and throughout the execution of a contract.
The AU Procurement Division under the Administration and Human Resource Management(AHRM) is responsible for the for the acquisition of a wide variety of goods, works and services for the AU Headquarters, AU Organ,Peace Support Mission, Regional Representative Office, Specialised and Technical Agency and Liaison Office etc.
It is the largest buying resource in the AU system guided by the AU Financial Rules and Regulations which require that the following general principles shall be given due consideration when exercising the procurement functions of the Union:

iv) Efficiency and Economy;
v) The interest of the African Union.
The "AU Procurement" App offers real-time access to information related to business opportunities and strategic sourcing such as requests for expression of interest, planned projects, business meetings, tenders, bids and contract awards. The App gives vendors and suppliers a tool to share and transfer information information instantly.
