Well, we finally have the new app that's been promised for literally years now, and guess what? It STILL doesn't follow Google's Material Design guidelines. Why South African app developers refuse to follow good user interface design policies for Android is beyond my ability to comprehend (especially after users actually take the trouble to give feedback on this). I guess maybe we'll finally get a Material Design interface when the app is updated in perhaps a decade or two. The integrated Gautrain card functionality is a good addition.
So the update is a lot better although the design still isn't amazing. I like the new functionality but I can't see the information I need most (and that's what time the train is). I put in Sandton to Hatfield and I click Schedules and it shows me times from like 14:43 to 00:24 (which is not right anyway) with plenty times missing in between and before. I have now had to download that horrible pdf from the website to look when my train is.
Nice improvements but can we please have the functionality to transfer funds or a product from one card to another one. If I lose loose my gautrain card, i want to be able to continue
I could not even connect as the app cannot connect to the internet. What's the use of having an app that doesn't even work?
Needs internet connection to view the train trips, old version was much nicer in terms of keeping an offline version of it. So i need to BUY data to use the app....
Load money and it just says pending. Been pending for 4 days. Useless
