So I made the switch from iOS to android only to find that this version doesn't support custom fields! Doing a quick Google and I can see that this has been raised on the official support forums as far back as 2014. The response back then was that "this functionality is very important to us and we plan to look into adding it in a future update". Fast forward 3 years and still nothing. Really disappointed.
I originally purchased 1password back in 2011 and had to recently re-purchase it again to use on my computer. I was using it on my is device as well, but after changing phones and now on Android, it seems like I have to purchase this AGAIN, for the third time, to use on my device. I understand the need to charge for your service/product and I'm happy to pay for it since I use it, but requiring this level of purchasing is just wrong. It's not like previous purchases were small amounts, and the subscript model is absurd - this is not a subscription-based product. Feels like they're holding me hostage. Unfortunately for them there are newer, similar, and cheaper options. Sorry but you've lost yourself a customer.
I have like 300+ logins saved and I cant stress out the utility of 1Password. I use 1Password on Windows and Mac, sync'ing through Dropbox (not my favorite but Google Drive sometimes stops syncing). I'm trying 1Password on Android and it synced just fine but I could not get the hang on how to enter a password on the Apps .. the link posted by the developer has helped, thank you. Another question I have that I could get: do I have t new license for the Android app ? I've seen elsewhere, it's not needed, however I was prompted on the Android app to "upgrade to pro" once but I haven't seen that again. I actually use it very lightly on the phone so I will have no problem going to my "secret notes" to copy/paste from when I need since these are very few. Ok, this also answered below. Thanks.
More secure than most easy to use alternatives. Just works. Minor glitches with interoperation, but nothing serious. Support is responsive. Moved to 1Password from Lastpass due to their security issues and serious server side outages. While 1Password is more expensive I don't look back.
I used this app on my iPhone and absolutely loved it. Would have given it 5 stars. I switched to Android and now all of a sudden I cannot add or change my passwords and information without paying $9.99. Pretty disappointing
I am disappointed in the android version of this application. On iOS, I has many more features available to me such as being able to add additional fields and things of this nature. 1password is a fantastic resource and Im a long time customer, but this was shocking to see how featureless the android version is. Fingers crossed for an update!
Autumn has officially arrived and with it we are expecting a change of weather here in Toronto. Along with the hot and sunny days, we are also saying goodbye to the bugs that came along with the summer season. Although you may no longer need bug spray, we recommend applying this 1Password update to eliminate a few extra ones lingering around.
