It took me a lot of trials to find an app that will sort on last names, and recognise companies (tagged on my Mac contacts desktop application and synced via google) as a separate group, when everything else lost that info and put them in with peculiar back to front names. This gives me a nice crisp list, with index letters in bands across the screen, all scalable. My only caveat is that choosing the tab to open on doesn't seem to have any effect for me, I get the same opening view no matter what. Bit odd. But otherwise, just great. And yes, I would also pay to replace the People app for editing the individual contact info with something more attractive like this. I have never found editing and particularly saving in People intuitive.
Simple, No dialer, sort on compagy (1.3.2) FANTASTIC... A real contact manager! Does not try to be a dialer. Contrary to nearly all the the contacts manager out there, it does sort on Company names and Company is up there in the top menu. You can also adjust the font size, the color. You can choose the tab in which it will start (Contacts, Group, Company, Favorites) and plenty of other options! again great job... Fantastic ...the most versatile and it does not replace the original dialer Wooowwww using a Note 2
...how about completing this app so I can view the individual contact record and edit the contact info in the same -clean- interface rather than jumping over to the native Contacts app where the UI is miserable? I don't want photos. I don't want wasted space. Want to charge for that app? Fine. Let us have a demo version with an in-app purchase. Edit (Sept.2016): I'm removing one more star as the developer still hasn't provided the ability to edit contacts within the app; needs to go back to the native Android Contacts app (or some other app with the capability of doing so). Very disappointed. Could be a 5-star app and would -pay- for this in a heartbeat if editing was possible within the app. *sigh* So close...
Ads free and light It's about 1MB in size and works well, grouping contacts using the "company" attribute (and because a contact may have multiple attributes, it's possible to have the same contacts in as many groups as wanted/needed). Unfortunately, it doesn't recognise Android's groups, so using the "company" for grouping contacts eventually leads to incompatible contacts on programs that manage the "group" attribute.
Crashes when I touch anything on contacts list From all the other reviews I can assume when working properly is just th e app im looking for. Please fix for Galaxy 4. Looking forward to using this app!
