I am a host and I'm trying to delete some old pics of the room. But the app doesn't have an option to delete pics. This is very frustrating. And there is no way to communicate with the team, so I finally have to leave comment here, hoping someone will get back to me with some help.
Be careful when using the app for payment. I had made payment to Airbnb for my accommodation but after paying NZD 600 I get an email from Airbnb saying that my booking was unsuccessful and that I will be refunded in up to 15 days. So now I am in a foreign country and I have got no accommodation and am at a deficit of NZD 600
3 stars because the cancellation policies and additional cleaning fees add up. The prices are often 5 or 10 dollars less than 5 🌟 hotel 15 at best, when you add the additional cleaning fees it ends up being pricier and accomodations maybe a bit inconvenient. Cancellation fees don't seem reasonable at a hotel you can cancel a night or two before on Airbnb you must cancel a whole week before if you don't your out your four hundred dollars per night. If you like improv destinations don't plan for a fixed destination itenerary you never know where you'll end up the next day.
I booked a trip to Amsterdam three months in advance for 8 people using airbnb on bank holiday weekend and three days before the host cancelled we did not receive any compensation and the reason we booked in advance was because we know it gets booked up at this time of year. Anyway there we were flights already paid for with no accommodation and no alternative accommodation was offered. In the end we did find accommodation through the app, but the location was quite remote and it did not have anywhere near the facilities we would have been able to get booking three months in advance. The host we did stay with was very nice, and no complaints about the experience from that point on, but due to the stress of having to find group accommodation at late notice (which was almost impossible), I would not reccomend or be using this app to book anymore group holidays. I would rather use a hotel. More facilities. Better locations. I will only use airbnb in future where hostel/hotel accommodation is not available.
I have stayed with AirBnb & now I am a host. The app & website are quite different which is frustrating. Also, the app has several issues, particularly with messaging. Sometimes unable to message guests, unable to edit message text, & unable to clearly review messages that I was preparing to send. Also, no way to attach documents. Reported issues go unanswered. Issues beyond app include flawed rating system, unclear accounting info.
won't login using details that work on the airbnb website....support hasn't responded with any solutions at all since June. Every time I open a support request, support claim they're looking into it....then close the support request without resolution. Login works fine on the web, but apparently needs the app to complete verification
