The app itself works great however I've have had repeated problems in relay messages to other languages. And Airbnb currently doesn't seem to offer an opportunity or a translation for in-app messaging. The most recent was a message from someone in France who just put that it was too complicated to continue with the reservation. The other thing is Airbnb doesn't seem to have a way to either chat or directly email for help. I did use Airbnb in April to May and my reservations went well.

I'm an AirBnB host who has been using this app for years for both hosting and my own travel. I've always loved the app. There have not been many things that required me to use an actual computer...the app has had almost all of the functionality of the website. After updating my review and downgrading my rating abiut a month ago, I'm here to update my review. Most of the problems have been corrected and the app is back to being great. There are only a few things I'd like to see restored from previous versions or added: 1. Restore the ability to click on the name of a listing from the inbox message and have the app go straight to your listing (I'm a host). 2. The "Listings" does not show all listings. I have a lot of listings, so I can only access a fraction of them, which means I still have to use the desktop website a lot more than I had to in the past. 3. Show guests contact information in the app (like it used to). Now if I want to contact a guest, I can't just see their phone number or email address. Instead, I have to click on "email guest" or "call guest". Sometimes I'm not calling or emailing from my actual cellphone and just need to see the information. The app is great again, but these additions or restorations would make it perfect.

Disappointed that this app doesn't sync your favorites so you can see them both on the app and the website. Also the recent updates have removed many of the features I, and probably many others, use the most. #bummer
We are about to go to The Hague for the second time, using Airbnb. Have used Airbnb 5 times! Absolutely love it!!
This app allowed me to take my son to see NYC for a reasonable amount. I've always loved travelling but had difficulty footing the bill as a single parent. ABNB has given me the freedom to travel with my son and expose him to new things! Priceless
This is a review for 17.21.1, renders the app useless because no filters option. In 17.20 they had a filter option and able to find a place by looking at the map. 17.21.1 does not have that option, and basically an inconvenience to try to search for a place in specific area. I want to use the R word here, because that's the only way to describe this version vs the older version. Would be a first time user, never used airbnb before.
Why do you keep making this app more confusing? Filter by room type and map search is now gone from the app? Seriously? Map search is how I find places in mountains or off the beaten track. I don't want a private room ever but now I have to sort through every private room to see the whole place? Great service. Garbage app.
If you log in with Facebook it doesn't seem to work and I've tried looking a permissions and can't see anything blocking it. Trying to use the app because the website crashes when you try to filter by cost. Both have always been really buggy and make looking for holidays a chore.
Useless app and there is no helpdesk working. I can't edit my listing. Losing money because of some unprofessional weirdos. Unbelievable.
Newest update has completely broken a lot. You cannot filter types of locations, for for amenities, or even look at listings on a map. The older version was so much better.
What on earth happened? The latest update (17.21.1) has completely ruined the user experience. There's no way to view by map, or add search filters. Which is kinda the whole point of searching for accommodation. Uninstalling!
This app wouldn't allow me to filter my search, making me wasting a lot of time. Very unfortunate decision to remove this feature.
Latest version of the Android app(17.21) makes it very difficult to use filters with the map function. It doesn't seem possible to add more filters once an initial search has been made, nor can you see possible rentals on a map. This is a major step backwards, making it much more difficult to view possible rental properties.
Really bad experience booking with airbnb. We booked a house in toronto and its host cancelled the booking a week before our trip and now we cannot find another room and have to cancel our train tickets or book another place with double or three times the price we got the previous room for.

Latest update for Android they have removed filter options and map features. What fool would do that? Horrible app now.
Good service, but app is very buggy. I must uninstall and reinstall after every update. Still have to use the desktop to find the customer service phone number.
Comparing to web version this app is garbage, no filter no map search waste of time and phone memory

For some reason the ability to Filter Search is gone, making the app worthless. You have to scroll, scroll, scroll.

The app is not working over wifi connection since the last update. It works only over cellular data connection.
They approve the credit that I found online as a coupon and decided to take it back even when I had a few months left remaining.
