The app is good as long as you have no problem. Customer service is another thing though, you don't have anybody from airbnb to talk to or ask from if you have other questions. Faqs don't have all the answers. A way to contact you would be a big help. I'm sure a lot of people would agree with me.
On 2 different occassions it has withdrawn money (over $1200 ) from my account when I made an enquiry on availability, there was no booking confirmation, took over a week to get my money back. Difficult to get in contact with and adds extra charges at checkout. Could be a fantastic accommodation app but very poorly managed.
Better than expected. Most apps have less or clunky functionality compared to their web sites, but AirBnB has all search filters and messaging available in its app. Could read all fine print and easily book with app.
Over complicated process of booking a property. The system doesn't work correctly and doesn't recognize some things. Sends SMS while still on active screen. Couldn't even complete the reservation, as their process is seriously bloated. Used a competitor and it took me only 3 minutes to book.
App keeps crashing constantly right after opening it. And It's not because I have an old phone. I have a Xiaomi Mi A1 with AndroidOne. Unbelievable :(
Beware. Currently out of pocket because i was forced to cancel 7hrs after making my booking. £200 poorer but will have extra space on my phone when I delete the app. Exercise caution the money paid goes to the host very quickly making getting a refund very difficult.
