A-STEM is a mobile-based system, which aims to provide educators with an efficient artificial intelligence-based assessment system, through which educators can easily assess the creativity of learners without any hassle and spending a lot of time on assessment procedures. The primary focus of this system is to provide an automatic assessment of learner’s creative items by using machine learning models which would be designed by experts and researchers. Along with this assessment mechanism, the system also is able to maintain educators to learner relationship, learning grading and assessment scores as well as it provides persistent storage of all the submitted items by learner for future reference. Teachers could use the system to manage the class, provide timely feedback, and track students’ progress.
The system is based upon the cloud service which is responsible for maintaining relational information for models to items, educators to learners, and grades to learners. The system is using android/iOS mobile applications as an interface. Through the system web portal, researchers will be able to upload assessment items and machine algorithmic models that can automatically score students’ responses. Teachers can create virtual classes and register students in the classes.s They can organize the assessments according to the learning content and assign items to students. They could view students’ performance scores immediately once students submit their responses. Learners also have access to the system through mobile applications and they can upload their responses to the systems for specific assessment items and can retrieve scores immediately.
