About this app

The OSS Document Scanner is an Open Source app to scan all your documents. You either scan using your camera or by importing an image. The app will automatically detect you document within the photo and will crop the image.

Once the document is created you can detect text within the document using OCR.

You can also share your document as a PDF. If you want you can synchronize the app data with a webdav server (like nextloud) to never loose anything!

Works really well, plus it's completely free, open source, with no ads and no trackers!! Can't beat that!! IMO that makes this doc scanner way better than any of the similar apps on the play store that are actually really non of those things!! Thank you to the developers of this app!! Sharing your great work for free is such a commendable and respectable thing to do and I think those willing to that are such awesome people and I really appreciate you all for doing it!!

One of the finest document scanner (especially id-card) i ever used, only demerit I found we can't re-arrange the pages after we scanned like changing the position of the scanned pages, which is quite a limitation but I hope it gets updated edit(05/10/2025): Just checked after your reply but still can't rearrange the pages.

So far seems like a really nice and useful app for scanning. one question to the dev so far and why it didn't give 5 stars yet, why within q document scanned or processed there a button on the top to export to pdf only while to export to jpg you need to enter a completely different area if the document why isn't export just one button and within it a wizard for selecting format then whatever settings required for export etc.....
