Setting up any new equipment flat out sucks with this app. Every time I've done it I've had to attempt multiple times, only to get to the end for an error page. What should take five minutes takes an hour and ends up with me having to contact support. Pretty sweet.
Like the app functionality in general, but increasingly frustrated by the advertising, especially as the fixed first item on the home screen. Generally, the first and only thing I want to do is arm or disarm .the alarm system or interact with the alarm system, and I don't like paying a monthly subscription for the privilege of being sold more stuff every time I open the app. The ads do not seem to be relocatable and on the occasion that there is a close button generally haven't been able to get it to register and just open the ad instead. Don't mind hearing about new stuff, but this app should first and foremost be about the system, not an ad platform, so the ability to move or dismiss the ads would be really appreciated. Just my 2cents.
The sensors did not work for us and even gavr us false alarms from time to time. I canceled the contract and they say i can keep the equipment and im trying to figure out how to use the equipment without monitoring service.
Since everyone seems to be reviewing the hardware (7/10) and customer service (10/10), I'll review the APP. When we first got our system, the app was not really necessary as we received two key fobs with the system. As we added more of our own items to the system (door locks, garage door, lights, thermometer, video cams, and the item we most use on the app, the doorbell), the app became essential. No longer did we have to go into the control panel and add items, we just simply set it up from the app, or from the website. Now that everything had been setup and running for 6mo now, I can't imagine not using it. It's simple to use, great video res from cams, slight but unnoticeable delay when using talk through doorbell, great to check on temp, if all doors and windows are locked, garage is shut, let the deliver guy know to leave the package (or to tell your kids friends to come back later), and to ditch the key fob so you have more security in case you should misplace your fob. You can also pay your bill, if you don't want auto pay, receive custom and generic notifications, rename sensors, arm and disarm your system (no more running out the door to beat the timer), contact Frontpoint, and just easier to use and monitor your system.
Absolutely love my security system and the app that goes with it. It works perfectly. I like the fact that you can arm/disarm from your phone, access and change alarm settings, access account info, shop for add on items, get notifications on system status, and it's easy to use. 👍 to FrontPoint.
THE ADVERTISEMENTS NEED TO GO😠. This makes the company look like a cheap service. Not a good look.ADT would never do that. Also it seems a little bland.Needs to have more options to be able to custimize the home screen. Icons would be nice.
• In addition to being able to unlock the door from the Doorbell Camera screen in the middle of a call, you can now disarm the security system too. You’re also able to re-lock the door at the end of the call.
• Now you can swipe on the Weather card to reveal a multi-day summary view showing the upcoming week’s weather.
