About this app

Mechanisms is the first app for organic chemistry that allows you to practice and learn reaction mechanisms by moving and manipulating electrons! 90% of college students find Mechanisms to be beneficial to their studies ー don’t get left out of the equation!

See, touch, and practice how chemical reactions occur at the particulate level in an
intuitive way.
As you work through each exercise, you will receive hints and feedback based on the moves you make - so you learn as you practice and apply concepts. Mechanisms also provides you with real-time assessment, giving you a measure of your performance and comprehension every step of the way.

Love the idea, needs a "repeat progress" and/or "clean up structure" button to really see the electrons in motion. That way, the dance can sink in more. Also great if static curved arrows could be featured at the end of each step so that students can connect what is done to traditional paper- based mechanisms.

the idea is a 5 star idea but the implementation is fairly buggy. the collision is buggy. I'll create a bond and have molecules contort in ridiculous manners that make it difficult to shift electrons. for larger molecules they're supposed to reorder when you make a bond, but sometimes I'll just get a cluster of molecules that are impossible to untangle. i restarted a problem several times until i eventually managed to complete it. there are other bugs but this review is too long.

Since the recent update. It is broken and freezes on the blue background before the Play button. I'm a long time user. I love this software. I want to use it for a small class for assignments. Please fix this ASAP.
