I have been using Aldiko for years now....however last week when i tried opening my books, can"t open them and phone crashes. Tried uninstalling and then installing iy 2 times same thing happened. Thought it might be my books having a problem so deleted all my downloaded books...then donwloades new books. Same thing happened. Hoping someone'll help me fix it...
As a college student who uses PDF textbooks almost exclusively, this app is amazing. I was worried switching from an iPad to an Android tablet that I would have trouble finding a good app to read textbooks on, but this is definitely not the case anymore. It lets you bookmark pages and search for words and phrases, as well as highlight sections and look them up later, separate from the page bookmarks. I haven't used the app to buy or read any regular books yet, but, as a PDF reader, I highly recommend it.
The app itself works well, but DON'T have s problem. After reinstalling the app, I lost all my previously imported books. On trying to contact customer service and failing to get any response! I find I am now locked out of the customer service page?! SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE?!
I've been using this app as my go to reader for a few years with no problems and loved it. Today I open it to find my entire library cannot be opened. I did manage to dig a couple of files out of obscurity but it's something I shouldn't have to. Uninstalling
Been away from this app, and reading generally, for a while. Was great now not so... inappropriate ads and not being able to change cover art like I used to do on basic version... will keep going and hope it re-connects with users like it was. Why do good apps go downhill so readily?
I really liked the previous version but since updating the app today it severely disappoints. The first .pdf I downloaded came up as already on the system and after tracking the file down I opened it to find a blank page. Almost every time I go from page to page an ad pops up. When I searched FAQs there was nothing close to the question I asked (answer was almost random) and I was unable to get a request to Support thanks to Capture not working. If you have an older version do NOT update to version 3.0.38. Can you uninstall an update? Please say you can! If you can't I will be looking for a new book reader.
