It is a fine e-book reader, with good formatting support... but the September 2015 updates introduced some very annoying new bugs: 1. Problems with screen redraw: after you close the "rate this book" pop-up at the end of a book, it does not return properly to the "toolbar" mode (the one with the page-counter/slider). Instead, the Android main toolbar at the bottom becomes blank, and the Aldiko green title bar at the top disappears, leaving a visible artifact. I have to tap to return to reading mode, and tap again to get to toolbar mode, and only then I can close the book. Annoying, and it didn't use to be that way. 2. More seriously, when I attempt to download a book from my Calibre network server, the operation fails *instantly* (no delay) popping up the message "Unfortunately, Aldiko has stopped." It then blanks for a second and goes back to the "My catalogs" screen. It is STILL broken after the September 29 update.
USER FRIENDLY A very worthwhile source of on line books, though a number of books I would like to find are not available. Rather too much 'junk'.
Thnx Thnx! Ameizing app for good phones... could you do some more weightless to older phones?
The besy So far the best e-book reader I've ever used.
