The Jewish tradition is so great that it is impossible to navigate it without a reliable compass. In Torah World, we focus on the following topics:
- Jewish religious law (including issues from the field of business, etc. are widely reflected);
- philosophy;
- the history of the Jews;
- worldview;
- The history of the study of the secret Torah (Kabbalah);
- parenting and family relationships.
The Torah World has existed since 2004. The publication has gone from a small thin journalist in A5 format to a quarterly almanac of 200 pages, which specializes in publishing texts containing in-depth analysis and a detailed presentation of the issues of practice and ideology of Orthodox Judaism.
The “Torah World” is made so that a person who does not know anything about the Jewish tradition would be interested in reading it, and so that he can understand everything that is written there. The Torah World does not offer its readers publicism - the texts that are published in The Torah World are written by qualified rabbis. These texts do not expire. Our magazine is appreciated for its excellent translations of books that have never been published before, for the competence of article authors and the seriousness of the excursion into Jewish tradition.
Many of our articles can be studied in the evenings at yeshiva - Jewish theological academies, but this does not mean that the publication is focused on “professional Talmudists” - on the contrary, the purpose of the “Torah World” is to turn the pages of the magazine into Beit Midrash (“ Teaching House ”), where any person who is interested in Jewish tradition, and who has not even managed to get to know Judaism properly, will be able to learn a lot of new things and feel the taste of learning - the taste of a real study of the Torah. That is why we pay much attention not so much to the letter of the law as to its analysis, preparation, clarification of the principles and mechanisms that underlie certain norms.
