ACTIVATION INSTRUCTIONS
• Open the app,
• Click Enable Ad Skipper,
• A confirmation modal will appear. Click OK.
• In the Accessibility screen, find the option Ad Skipper and activate it.
• A security message will appear. Read it and click Allow.
• That's it. You can now watch your videos without hearing ads, and auto-skipping them when available.

ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS
If you notice the app has suddenly stopped working, try disabling the battery optimization for Ad Skipper app in Configuration Settings of Android System, and open the Ad Skipper again to reactivate the accessibility service.
If the issue persists, please uninstall and reinstall the app, and configure it again. Sorry for the inconvenience, I couldn't yet find a reliable method to restart the app in background when Android randomly kills it.

Ad Skipper does three things when you are watching your videos on YouTube:
- Waits for Video Ads to appear;
- When Video Ad appears, it mutes the media volume;
- If the ad has the "Skip Ad" option after 5 seconds, the app clicks the "Skip Ad" button as soon as it appears and unmutes the media volume.

Ad Skipper acts as an Accessibility Service, so after installing it, you need to open the app and enable it manually, as Accessibility services have elevated permissions on your device and can read and interact with all the device's screen.

Edit: after using for about 5 months, it works a lot of the time, but if there is more than one ad or the ad happens halfway through the video, it will silence, but not skip. Once the ad is done, it will keep the video paused and not play the video. I usually have to refresh or go back 10 sec to get past the frozen ad. But! Better than no skip silence at all and it still works for the beginning mostly Mutes and and skips. The only app that actually works. Simple UI and easy set up. 10/10

Skips when available and mutes ads on YouTube. Nice😃. I keep getting the same efood ads over and over on every video. I have them😤 It's ok but could you add exceptions list? In Minion Rush ads stop appearing but I need to play them if I want to get the rewards they give. I just turned off ad skipper now but it would be better if I didn't have to turn it on and off for some apps.

I like this app, its really fast to catch adds and mute them if you have that option enabled. Though some times you can hear an add for 1 to 2 seconds but that is rare. It also instantly skips them too but If you have your YouTube video playing and you exit the app the video may minimize, the add skiper will not be able to skip the add when the YouTube video is minimized.
