The story is full of satirical Dodgson 's friends allusions, English education and political issues of the time. The Wonderland described in the story is basically created through logic games , a special form that the work has come into popularity in various environments , from math to children or psychonauts .
This work shows some of the most famous characters from Carroll as the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, the Blue Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat and Queen of Hearts , 1 who have taken seriously enough to be recognized outside the world of Alice.
Only 23 copies of the first edition of 1865 , which belong to different libraries are kept , and the remaining are in private hands . The book has a sequel , least known , called Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There ( Through the looking -glass, and what Alice found there, 1871 ) . Several film adaptations combine elements of both books.
It all begins when Alicia ( the girl) is sitting on a tree outdoors , dull air with his sister . Sister read a book " without pictures or conversations " which makes Alicia wander by boredom .
Suddenly, next to it a white rabbit wearing a jacket and vest, muttering that running late, looking at his pocket watch. Alicia is interested in him and decides to follow and even enter his lair. The hole turns out to be deeper than expected horizontal tunnel , which suddenly becomes a vertical shaft no grip , where Alice falls long remembering his cat, and things you learn in school and wondering if someday will reach the ground. Along the way, Alice wonders if the tunnel will forward to the "unfriendly " mistaken term " antipodes " .
At the end of his fall and without being hurt , Alice enters a world of absurdities and logical paradoxes . The rabbit was gone, and Alice finds a small bottle , the first of several to find in your adventure, it just says "DRINK ME" , which makes Alicia attracted by curiosity . The potion Alice shrank until it measured ten inches tall.
Then Alicia tries to open a small door to continue exploring the new world. Through the door we glimpse an attractive garden, but the key that opens the door is on a table that Alice can not reach due to its new height. The girl then tries to return to its original height, eating a cake that meets the sign " EAT ME" .
