it works quite well, unless you adjust the settings, and then it behaves unpredictably. for instance, I adjusted the image size to 15mp for night mode, and it now uses the flash like it's taking a burst of 9 shots, when flash is supposed to not be able to turn on for night mode, as that's literally the point of night mode. basically every mode has some weird similar behaviour if you stray from the default settings.
This was working great on my Nexus 5X, then it started acting very buggy. I'd open the app and the button to take a photo just wouldn't appear, or it wouldn't allow for manual focus. Basically it would work upon opening the app 30% of the time. The developers are off to a good start but this camera app is not dependable.
Unusable with Chromebooks. The Playstore listing needs to be flagged as incompatible. I loved this app when I had an Android tablet, paid for it. I wanted to use it with my Chromebook, butit is TOTALLY UNUSABLE. The app must be hardcoded to use the aspect ratio and resolution of a phone or tablet, becasue on a Chromebook it opens a portrait frame that is squished horizontally in the Chromebooks landscape mode and stretched like a fun house mirror when rotated to portrait.
Like the many functions it provides, making it very much like a real world camera . However, the GUI is, I am sorry to use the word, ugly. All the buttons are much too big and the icons aren't pretty. They take up a lot of screen space, so you cannot focus on the subject. While it is true that you can get a clean interface without all the icons and grid lines by swiping left or right once or twice, it is annoying if every time you want to adjust one of the camera settings, you have to do that swiping. IF the icons are much smaller and unobtrusive, there is no need to have extra screens and swipes. The app Open Camera is a good example but it does not have all the functions. Really hope you can redesign the interface.
Working on my S5. Appears to have now stopped working on Samsung S8. Was previously giving strong green tint to everything. No response from Devs to a complaint. I paid for this c*** and want a refund.
i really love it. but i hope some problems can be fixed. the app is not entirely in fullscreen mode (nav bar is still present). the photo timelapse icon in video mode does not disappear even though i've unchecked the settings. it would be better if the viewfinder is empty while recording videos (except for the shutter icon). EV compensation should be on the "immersive" viewfinder because it's easier for me to check the EV without going to the settings as it is only available in the full viewfinder. i hope there's an update which fixes these problems
- panorama improved
