About this app

Nier Voice IME is a Japanese input keyboard (IME) that combines voice, flick input, and QWERTY into one. It supports devices with physical keyboards (such as the Titan 2) and tablets with external keyboards. You roughly dictate what you're saying, then correct it with your fingers to create a "ready-to-send" message.

First, quickly input using the device's voice recognition or flick/QWERTY input. Furthermore, by setting your own Google Gemini API key (BYOK), AI-powered editing, paraphrasing, and English translation are added.

■ Main Features

1. Voice Editing
It edits what you speak, removing fillers ("um," "uh") and rephrasing to create an easy-to-read message.

* **Transcription:** Operates within the device (no API key required)
* **Editing:** Further refinement using AI (API key required)
Example: "Um, tomorrow, actually, I'll do it the day after tomorrow at 10am." → "I'll do it the day after tomorrow at 10am."

2. Switching Writing Style
You can change the tone of sentence endings with one tap (during AI editing and revision).
* **Formal:** For business and general communication
* **Formal:** For reports, blogs, and documents
* **Casual:** For informal conversations
(Also includes a playful "Meow" style)

3. Voice Input Mode
* **Transcription:** Completed within the device. No API key required.
* Text Editing: For everyday and business writing (API key required)
* Proofreading: Spoken content is transcribed on the device and then refined by AI (API key required)
* English Translation: Spoken Japanese is converted into natural-sounding English for input (API key required)

4. OCR Input (Camera/Image)
Reads text from photos taken with the camera or images on the device and inputs it directly. Supports both device recognition (offline) and AI recognition (API key required, strong in vertical writing, etc.).

5. Smart Conversion
A large dictionary + automatic learning optimizes the accuracy of conversion candidates. Comfortable Japanese input with flick and QWERTY.

6. Physical Keyboard Support
Optimized for physical QWERTY devices such as Titan 2 / Titan 2 Elite. Can also be used with Bluetooth keyboards connected to tablets, etc. - Select candidates using arrow keys, Tab, and number keys, and use Esc, F6-F10, etc., just like on a PC for Japanese input.
- Switch between Japanese and English using English/Numeric/Kana, No Conversion/Conversion, and Half-width/Full-width (109-key layout).
- Modifier key design utilizing Ctrl/Alt allows cursor movement, editing, and conversion from the home position.
- You can choose to display conversion candidates in a candidate bar at the bottom of the screen or in a candidate window directly below the character being typed.

7. UI Themes
Switch the appearance of the input screen (Midnight, Light, Sakura, Mint, Orange, etc.).

8. Registered Dictionary Synchronization (Optional)
When you log in with your Google account, the dictionaries you have registered will be saved in a dedicated app area of your Google Drive and synchronized between devices on the same account. If you do not log in, they will be saved only on your device as before. Automatic conversion learning and specialized dictionary packs will not be synchronized.

■ Privacy and Secure Design
- API keys, dictionaries, and learning data are saved on the device. There are no servers operated by the developer, and the developer will not receive this data.

* Registered dictionaries are saved to an app-specific area in your Google Drive only when you use registered dictionary synchronization (developers cannot view them). API key synchronization is a separate option and is off by default.

* When using AI features, voice, images, and text are sent directly to Google's Gemini API via encrypted communication (HTTPS) using your API key (without going through the developer). Handling is subject to Google's terms of service (Google may use it for improvement purposes in the free tier).

* Even without setting an API key, speech recognition, OCR, flick/QWERTY, and text conversion on your device will work as usual.

* The password field will not switch to Japanese input, and the content will not be sent to or learned by the AI.

* To use AI features (text editing, English translation, proofreading, AI completion, cloud OCR), you need your own Gemini API key (BYOK). You can register it in a few minutes from the settings screen.
A Japanese IME that lets you speak, type, and format your text. It combines voice input, flick input, QWERTY, and OCR into one system. API key settings allow for text formatting and English translation. Compatible with Titan2 and external keyboards.
