About this app

Packed with a variety of useful features, the App lets you easily register your Tech-Air® 5 Airbag System and monitor its status and battery life, as well as tracking the details of your ride. The App uses Bluetooth Connectivity to access the System’s data.  Using the MyRide feature, riders can record location and speed continuously during a ride.  Relive your ride and visualize your average and top speeds at any point along the route by zooming in on the map.  MyRide gives motorcyclists the ability to record unlimited motorcycle rides and build up a complete library of individual trips, so you can easily retrace your trips and remember the great riding moments. 
How it Works
• See top stats for the ride – including the exact location where these results were achieved, average speed, trip time and distance covered.
• Retrace each trip on an enhanced Google Map that shows your speed at any point you select along the trip.
• Build up an awesome library of each ride you take on your bike.
• Disable the Tech-Air® System when you’re going to start doing heavy off-road riding.
• Verify the deployment of the Tech-Air® System after an accident.
• Send feedback to the Alpinestars Tech-Air® development team.
• Update the System’s firmware whenever available.
• Download the online manual and useful documentation for air travel, shipments, and servicing.

Ratings and reviews

Once you log in, the app appears to work without issue. The consistent problem I have is that it won't allow me to log in, or even start the app, unless I set my default browser to Chrome. Trying to login through Firefox throws a fatal error, and starting the app after the initial login is impossible without changing default system browser settings. Not all of us use Chrome, and this seems like a glaring oversight.

The app doesn't work anymore, it returns an error that it doesn't have an identifier when trying to login so you can't use it. You should not have to login anyway to access the device. I don't have to do that for every other motorcycle device I have. Since Astars can't get their authentication working with their app, now it's totally unusable, so I can't check for status or get firmware updates, or even make any settings changes.

I've never actually been able to use the app because I've never been able to fully sign up. I never get the verification code that is supposedly sent to my phone number. edit : I tried 5 times about 3 weeks ago to no avail. This morning I also tried 3 times and surprisingly on the third attempt it did finally send me the code. Now I get to battle the constant connectivity issues everyone else mentioned.
