Amakomaya apps is developed to increase the outreach of information related to maternal and child health related issues to rural pregnant women program supported by ISIF-Asia and Yagiten Pvt. Ltd. The basic aim of the project is to provide educational and motivational contents related to pregnancy to rural populace. The contents will be provided in the form of video, audio and text format. All the are developed in a standard format and are localized (in Nepali language) so that, rural people with very low or no education can understand it. Different formats of the content allow the target population to acquire more knowledge that triggers behavioral change in them.
The project is based on three basic principles. They are:
