The app is quite fine as well as the library BUT.... It can't be chromecasted. Even mobile device's screen mirroring does not show the video on my tv (only black screen with 'buttoms', while it shows ok in my mobile). Nooot good folks! Not very useful like that. Netflix and HBO cotinue being above for that reason only.
If I want other members of my family to be able to use the service on their devices, I have to give them access to my AWS service and be able to see all my history and information on the main Amazon site. And never mind the fact Amazon apps continually spam my notifications on my phone. And content in Canada it's very thin. Overall, not really worth it.
Why launch this with 1 season of your own series; The Man in the High Castle. I can cast to my apple tv 2 but not to my smart tv or chromecast...really.No value here. Get some canadian licencing and ability to cast to other devices like netflix. Then come back
I can use this app for like 30 seconds then it stops. If I manage to get to any episode I want to watch in that 30 seconds it loads and plays but the "Amazon video has stopped" window stays in front of it so it's unwatchable and if I touch the screen the app closes. Completely broken and a waste of time. I have a galaxy s7 with nougat and have no problems with anything else
Great user interface, not enough content. Its got good movies and shows but not enough. The majority of content I watch are the Amazon originals, which are really good. I have this odd glitch though where when there's a scene in a foreign language, there aren't subtitles at all. I played around with it and it sometimes works when I enable french subtitles, so the foreign language is translated to french but it almost never works for english.
No problem as far as quality and reception is concerned, though sometimes it buffers. But seriously you need to work on content availability- I love the 70/80/90 Hollywood Classics which you guys haven't heard of. With the present set up you'll lose me if you charge!!
