Very basic, UI not impressive at all, missing a ton of features the others have... Have potential but a lot of work ahead of it. I hope will improve significantly soon.

Sadly Chime feels very dated compared to any other modern messaging app. Notifications lack contact pictures, don't support quick replies, and have a design from Android circa 2009 which just isn't acceptable, and the rest of the app isn't much better. The conversation dialogue doesn't collapse consecutive messages together instead wasting space with the date and time on every message. There's no way to share content from other apps into Chime using the standard Android share menu. Overall the whole thing needs brought up to the standards of a 2017 messaging app – disappointing.
Good communication app. Needs a feature to have different notification preferences for rooms on phone vs desktop, as in pop up and flash on my laptop but don't vibrate my phone non stop. Also call needs to be interested with dialer so it rings properly not just give a notification.

This app is a disaster on Pixel. Regular crashes or fails back to the login screen while on a call with no option to return or leave. Avoid for now...
Please introduce an option to set custom notification tone and disable vibration for Android. It is so frustrating to see the mobile battery going down due to multiple chime messages which results in series of vibrations. Also swipe gesture to move from one section to the other would be appreciated. Connecting takes longer time even on a good Internet connection when other messaging apps are instantaneous. Message sync takes longer than usual.. There is a lot of scope for improvements for this App.
Attempting to sign into amazon and just get a spinning yellow circle
I need swipe gestures to move between sections. For big screen devices, it's tough to tap on top to navigate between sections. I want to have like Facebook messenger navigation experience on Chime.
Superb app.. Can you provide GoToMeeting like features with this... I'll definitely use this more efficiently.
Notifications never works. Too many clicks need to be done for simple operations.
Powerful, simple, and secure. My team uses it every day.
The UI takes a lot of clicks to see (or even be aware of) recent messages, and I seem to get logged out frequently without notice.
Extremely clunky. Should have never put this on the market until it was Complete product.
Not ready for primetime. This will not compete with gotomeeting until participants can join anonymously without amazon login.
Not a polished product didn't find it very intuitive or easy to use it also crashed a few times
Holy LONG pin numbers Batman! Folks will need a couple cups of coffee before dialing in.
It will be best business app as because amazon os the largest online shopping store. .
No video/screen sharing support. No Linux client. Barebones web client.
Sign up process is WAY off base. I'm a dedicated Amazon user in numerous technical areas and found it challenging to understand why a separate login was required. I didn't complete the setup process because of it and would hesitate to use the service if colleagues/partners/prospects had to, in any way, sign up to use the service at first. Not sure how you'll monetize this otherwise bit it's a crucial element to the "ease of use" marketing about Chime that I've seen in the media these past few days. Keep working on it!!
Tried creating an account using my email account used for calendering, only to be brought to a screen asking if I wanted to a) use my Amazon account or b) create an Amazon account. This is confusing - I gave you the email alias I want to use, so just create the account ok? More troublesome is that this means I will end up with a 3rd (or 4th) Amazon account. Ugh. Should be able to add multiple email alias.
Trying this out today. Seems to work for everything except video on my end. I do not see any way to activate video on my android phone. A co-worker was able to use his iphone with the video option. The iphone seems to have a video icon which I do not have on my Galaxy S7 edge.
As another user stated, the account creation/login process is confusing. Also, there does not appear to be an option to have video conferencing in the Android app. The video works fine in Windows, but does not show for the android users, also android users have no option to show video. However, the screen sharing from Windows to Android did work. If the video is fixed and the sign up/in process is improved this could be a slam dunk...
UI is simple to be sure but I too could not get the video to work or even find how to set it up on Android. I agree account creation is awkward and confusing.
