Good offline storage, needs some work A fantastic app for offline backup of your photos. Great beni with Prime. It needs work in some areas, notably navigation and sharing. One aspect that defies explanation is the 'delete' feature. When you try to delete a file (picture, video, etc) from the cloud storage, it deletes it from your device! If I wanted to delete files from my device, I would use an app that was displaying the files on my device. If I am looking at files on the cloud, I expect to delete the file on the cloud.
Best on the market I love that I was able to store over 500gb of uncompressed photos and videos for $5 a month. My only issue is that I can't find a way to change the tag on people's faces once assigned. We have 3 little ones and they look similar, this causes some people to get grouped with the wrong person. I would really love to be able to change tags in individual photos with specific people. Still my favorite app, it's a great bargain, and I no longer have to worry about losing our precious family photos. I love Amazon!
Awesome Just love the new Prime Photos App!! I knew that I made the best decision a year ago when I decided to upload all my precious family photos on Amazon. So many photo services go out of business but I knew Amazon would be here for the long haul. The features and service just keeps getting better.
Love the organization I really like the facial recognition, organized by date, daily updates on a year ago to date photos, auto uploaded photos as they are taken. Basically the only thing I don't like is the constant pop up assuming I want to begin a new project or family tree or whatever its called. Have the option available but I don't need that recommendation every few times I open the app.
Amazon has stepped it up I'm here to say that I was skeptical about amazons cloud service at first. They have updated it recently for the better and if Amazon alowed their prime members to have unlimited photos and videos like Google does I'd be sold. It's good and I give them that but for now Microsoft is my primary cloud provider.
Good app! Auto upload feature works well....just not enough free space to really compete with Google Drive and even Dropbox free. I pay $9.99/mo for 1TB of Dropbox storage and had earned at least a quarter of a TB of FREE space over the years so I don't NEED this app...but it's been interesting to check out competing apps
