After using this app for many years, I have to say I've been quite frustrated for the last 6 months or so. Constant bugs like the app not supporting landscaping mode for a long time, then it got fixed, then broke again for a few months, now finally working again. The new design that was introduced some time ago just isn't good, sorry. The old design was dated, sure, but it worked. If you're looking to pay for a photos app, I wholeheartedly recommend Google photos over Amazon right now.

I can no longer save photos from other people. That is irritating! Yes the picture order is still off from when you take them and view them. I do like the memories feature but it does constantly pop up even after I've looked at them for the day. It is a nice feature knowing that at least at this moment my pictures are being saved somewhere.

Tried this out from a video recommendation on YouTube. Save me the money or paying a subscription to OneDrive, or Dropbox, or Google one. There are too many subscription services, that require payment. This was one of the few, that held a lot of pictures, without payment. I wish it did the same for video. But it's limited to only 5 GB of video oh, that it holds.

What's new

We’ve updated our app to make it easier to find the photos you’re looking for, and to revisit favorite memories. The new control panel puts your photo collection within thumb’s reach. Tap the smile icon to find your account info, order prints, and customize Fire TV & Echo Show screens. Tap the paper airplane to share memories with friends and family. With this update, you'll only see photos and videos that have been uploaded, so you'll know exactly what's saved to Amazon Photos.
