Review from Marie Weese
samsung galaxy victory i take alot of pics and I just love the fact that i can now save them to my kindle fire. best idea yet. ty
Love everything except... It doesn't recognize faces in a large majority of my photos and there's no option (that I know of) to tag faces in photos. So if the app doesn't automatically recognize a face there's no way for me to manually indicate that a particular person is, in fact, in the photo, which would allow me to track it down later in the "People" section. If there were an option to tag people it would be amazing!
Its Ok but not as good as Google Photos Functions would lie to see added are ability to squeeze the photo page as in Google to more easily locate photos and videos. Would also like to see the 20 minute video max that can be viewed removed. Google has no max. I also miss and prefer the previous memories function of today, this week , and shuffle.
Awesome update I generally don't take the time to rate apps but kudos to the team on this update. Facial recognition makes it easy to find photos of people I'm looking for. Family vault makes sharing easy. A very polished and welcomed update. Well done! This level of thought and refinement is what amazon should be replicating through their entire app line.
Nice app A good app, however, it froze my phone completely for the whole time photos were uploading. Also, is it possible to change it slightly in a way that when I add photos to albums, they would disappear from main page of the app and would be only found in the album I added them to? Sort of "move to album" function, rather than "add to". Thank you in advance.
Good app but missing key features If this app was more like the sadly defunct Carousel, which had a scroll bar at the bottom to quickly search through specific days, weeks, and months, it would be much better. Also, it's missing the ability to delete photos that it's already stored in the cloud. This is a service that Google Photos provides and Carousel provided. I hope one day these apps become half as good as Carousel was, but adding these very obvious features would make it a 5 Star App.
That aside..... It is a bit too social for me now. But still worth it. I am an artist and I take thousands of pics a week. So space is an issue. But my photos are not a social scene. Many will be sold as prints and others painted. So why all the tagging and party atmosphere? But leaving that aside, thanks amazon for amazing apps and not being money hungry.
