I've used half a dozen e-reading apps and if it wasn't for the prime integration I'd never use this app again. It constantly crashes in the middle of a page or drops back to the library. I've actually paid full price for e-books from other sources that are free with prime just to be able to actually read without the inconvenience. Amazon basically pioneered the e-reader, and this is the best you've got this far into the game? C'mon Amazon get it together.
I always liked this app, but I've recently moved to an entry-level device (Huawei Y3 II) which won't let me run it. Or perhaps it is just the app itself containing incompatibilities, since it appears to be the only instance where I'm encountering problems.
I think there was a recent update problem. Can't adjust font, color or anything! Can't return to library from a book once it is open! Amazon needs to stop it with all the bells and whistles! We bibliophiles just want to read!
Your last update at beginning of January changed a 4 to 5 star app into junk. I can't even access my books on phone unless i use kindle cloud reader through my phone Chrome app. By the way, I use my phone Kindle app more than my Kindle Paperwhite device. Fix the phone app, Amazon... I will change my review back to 4 or 5 star when you fix the phone Kindle app.
Ever since the latest updates, the app freezes and then closes. It will not even let me attempt to sign in. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, but nothing works. This is only on one tablet. I have others, and a phone on which it works!
Since the update I cannot access my account. App freezes. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled. And not just on one of my devices. 3 of them. A long long time user is very upset. A fix would be nice. It's been days. 😡
