It is impossible to monitor the availability of a specific item and configure an alert when the price goes below a certain value. A lot of people are expecting this basic feature and this would give more business opportunity for Amazon (because people would be quickly alerted when they are ready to buy).
I gave it one star because even when your one click buy is disabled on the phone, they claim you still bought something that you just looked at. And if disabling it doesn't work you need to fix the app so it does
I use amazon for lots of random thing, but when I tried to purchase mp3s it doesn't want to accept my payment option, although it is the same as when I pay for anything else. I'll buy these at Google where yes, they are more expensive, but at least I can have the convenience of my payment being accepted. I tried to re enter my cc many times don't think I didn't try many different setting and attempts. It simply didn't want to work on my browser or amazon app. Fix it.
Scroll view is terrible. The app overall is very good. Looks nice, easy to use and navigate etc but please please fix the scroll view. When looking at list of items the same scroll gets ever more clunky and slow until you actually just look at placeholder images. And this is only from slow scrolling and reading as I scroll...
Generally this is an excellent quality app. Obviously it will be subject to the usual flaws of ordering from Amazon, such as poor stock control tracking, changing delivery dates (one day does not always mean one day!) But generally the app is clear and simple to use, and has never locked up or crashed on me. Push notifications for order updates are good, but do not cover every order update. E.g. I received an email notifying order was delayed but nothing via the app. I would give 5 * if it covered the same comms scope, and if you could see more than the top 1 fulfilment option. You can only order from the default (cheapest?) Seller and cannot see the other options. For 1 penny more I would have chosen to order from Amazon rather than a 3rd party and avoid several days delay of an urgent '1 day' item due to incorrect 3rd party stock status. I had to cancel and reorder via the website, where I had access to the options to order from Amazon or other 3rd party sellers, rather than the default one. Still lost a day in receiving my item, but quicker than waiting for fulfillment from the original '1 day' shipping.
I cannot access the details of any item. It is amazingly frustrating. I reinstall the app with no change. It teases me with a page then says it can't display it
