I love the Amazon app. You can get anything on there. You can also now order items through voice be clicking the microphone button. You can keep Track of all your orders easily reorder items. It also keeps track of any items that you have been researching. I also love the fact that now when your item gets delivered, you can be sent a picture to let you know it's been delivered and where so you don't have to search.
It was all good until I tried to order prop replicas. It was held at customs for 3mos. I wrote to the seller named superstores, wanting to know if it was normal for customs to hold replicas for that long they just said call your P.O.. 3 weeks later I got the dreded letter saying they have seized my prop. Tried to write a review to warn order at your own risk. Because I don't want people to go through the same stuff I'm going through. Well let's see how good i can jump through border customs hoops.
Amazon have spent alot of time stripping back customer service features from the app and invested more in the circular (yet pointless) Q&A section. Then there is the Registering for prime, simple within the app but you can no longer remove this from your account from within the app.....strange... Hmmm
I like the app and Amazon, obviously. It's cheap and convenient. Who wouldn't? But as a society, we are letting this corporate giant take over all small businesses, and essentially, the world! Are we really gonna trade in our community and neighborhoods for convenience and to save a buck or two? I think the answer to that would be a very sad YES...
Until the wishlist sorting gets fixed so you can actually use them properly I cannot give Amazon apps a better rating. It has been several months and many reports, yet still no fixes...... It was fixed for a few days and then back to the same disappointment. Sad. Just in time for the holidays too.....
It's baffling that such a huge corporation like Amazon can't make what is a glorified wrapper for their website even half way decent. Navigation is inconsistently spread across the UI, photos load extremely slowly compared to the website, playlists sometimes only load partially, etc. The app was never great, but it's slowly become too buggy to be acceptable. This needs a fresh start.
Looking to ship products internationally? Choose “International Shopping” after downloading the app, or in the Amazon settings menu, to shop for products in English, Spanish, German, and Simplified Chinese that Amazon can deliver around the world.
Amazon Spark is a new feature in the Amazon App in the U.S. that allows you to discover and shop stories, ideas, and more from people who share your interests. Find it under Menu > Programs and Features.
